With the emergence of modernity in the Western world, Christianity, as a powerful and influential institution in the individual and social lives of women, was heavily questioned and criticized by movements defending women's rights in the West, and feminist theology was formed in its context. Theology is considered one of the most risky and controversial epistemological fields of the feminist movement, because it explicitly addresses and challenges the deepest and most sensitive part of human life, namely religion. Therefore, the importance of this research issue has led us to examine and analyze the anthropological foundations of feminist theology in Christianity in this article, because we witness specific views and theories from these theologians regarding humans and anthropological foundations that are strongly influenced by the intellectual and ideological components of Christianity. To achieve this goal, an attempt has been made to study and document books, articles, and other sources available in this field using a descriptive-analytical method.
