Abstract

Women are half of the body of human society. The investigation and position of women in the progress of Islamic civilization shows that they have actively participated in many social, economic, scientific, political and even defense affairs by maintaining their human dignity and chastity and have been successful and proud in many cases. This research was compiled with the aim of investigating the participation of Muslim women in the beginning of Islam in terms of the extent and effective role of women in the Islamic society. This research was conducted with the method of studying historical documents and the technique used to collect information is documentary. The results of this research indicate that women did not have a high position before Islam and were deprived of many of their human rights, and with the advent of Islam, a transformation took place The status and dignity of women was created in such a way that in various fields such as allegiance, emigration, defense of the province, etc., they were the helpers of the Prophet and the Imam of their era. Islam is in favor of the social and political presence of women in the society, but in order to preserve the dignity and human character of women and to prevent her from being used as a tool and to preserve the family center, it has determined the framework and conditions for this presence, the most important of which is to preserve the hijab and chastity in her social activities.
